We recommend cleaning stainless steel weekly with a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent. Afterwards, feel free to rinse the steel with clean water and wipe it dry with a soft and absorbent cloth. We strongly recommend never using steel wool, bleach, salts, or acids to clean stainless steel. Do not use steel wool to wipe your stainless steel, it will scratch the surface. Do not allow bleach, salts, or acids to come in contact with the steel as it will discolor the product.
For any fingerprints, oil or grease marks, can be easily removed by using a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent. We recommend using our microfiber sponge mitt. You can wet one side with water and use the other, dry side to wipe and polish. Be sure to rinse away any detergent or cleaning agents with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.
Rust can be removed by applying cream cleanser and rubbing gently with a damp cloth. We recommend using a product called MAAS® polish creme to help you remove the rust. If the rust is stubborn, additional steps need to be taken. Proprietary stainless steel cleaner may be needed to remove the rust. Since these cleaners usually contain dangerous chemicals, please take pre-caution and always follow the manufacturer’s directions. If the rust cannot be removed with these suggestions, you can always have it removed professionally.
The residue left from labels can be easily removed by applying adhesive removers such as “Goo-Gone®”, “Un-du®”, or “De-solv-it®’. After applying the remover and all the residue is gone, be sure to rinse the area with water and dry with a soft cloth.
